2nd Annual Renegade Craft Fair. San Francisco, California.

December 19th, 2010: It was my first time there, and it was amazing. I cannot believe we almost decided not to go because of the pouring rain. I walked in the door, found a huge room with what looked like a never ending supply of inspiration, and thought- yes, this was the place for me.
Almost everything there was handmade, and I felt like I was about to die. There were bags, dresses, cards, stamps, jewelry (clock necklaces!), you name it. What really stood out to me though, (sorry, I don't have pictures) was definitely this beautiful cream flowy dress  with light purple and green flowers on it and also these pair of earrings that hung a corked bottle with pixie dust inside. (darn me for not having my ears pierced!)
I even recognized many of their pieces because they had their own etsy shops as well.
Many of the sellers there were also selling a scarf similar to the one I was wearing so we got to exchange fashion ideas for a while. (!)
It was just the best day ever, and I am definitely going back next year rain or shine- without hesitation.

Sunday morning rain is falling.

Dear Rain,

I've been waiting for you for quite some time now. You make the skies dark, the earth moist, and the world magical. You come so easily, yet so beautifully. You may make some feel tired, gloomy, or even stuffy, but you make me feel the exact opposite. I'm currently sitting in my room staring at you blankly. Listening to the sound you make when you gently reach the floor is unbelievably amazing. You come and go so naturally, and when you come, you make everything live again in such a simple way. Running around outside when you're here only makes me feel like a child again. The world needs more of you, and I hope you stay for a while this time.

Yours Truly,
Tami Jam

Sometimes I imagine myself dancing in the woods and soaring in the sky.

These crowns. Oh, I love them. Whenever I wear them, they make me feel like a true princess. And I'm not even talking about the really glittery ones with big poofy dresses that fall in love with a guy at the end of the movie. I'm talking about the more nature-ful ones that just like to sit in a quiet place to think. To think about the sky, the water, and the view.

My baby cousins actually just came over a few days ago, and this is what I asked one of them.

Me: "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
Baby Cousin: "A princess."

Hey, guess it runs in the family.

I had to cover that spot because when I was jumping down from that cemented ledge, my skirt flew up.. and I'm sure you know what got exposed.. Enjoy!

Just a few inspirational photos.

Conservatory of Flowers. San Francisco, Ca.

I absolutely loved it there. Everytime I step in, it feels like I'm in a magical place. There's just so much to see; flowers, leaves, animals, and all sorts of colors. GREEN, blue, pink, purple, black, brown, yellow, lavender, white! orange! red!
Gosh, talk about inspiration.

Sorry.  But is it just me, or does it look like the little girl's head is growing out of the plant?
Enjoy!

At the beach.

This photo was not taken at the beach (obviously), but I thought it was just so great that I had to post it. Taken by a friend, this is my lovely and creative sister, Teri.

                                      Ocean Beach, San Francisco.

It was actually warm and sunny there that day!
I usually never liked going there because it was always windy enough to blow a thousand specks of sand right into my eyes- while I still had my contacts on. I always forgot to bring my sunglasses.

And when I actually remember to bring them, it wasn't windy. Great.

But atleast the water was nice.

Hello.

-This is the title I got after thinking my heart (and head) out for this blog post. I guess it's a decent one for my FIRST EVER post though, right ? I have all these great ideas stored in my mind and I cannot wait to share all of them with you guys. It's like Tamijam is the place where I can have some kind of magical surgery where I can release every little detail in my brain. That may have made no sense at all, but I just wrote what came to my mind first.

-So I won't make my first blog post TOO long and boring, but I just wanted to say Welcome. Welcome to the Wonderful World of Tami where I get to express my feelings through writing and fashion. I hope you guys enjoy, and here's a first look for my blog.

After going to my sister's Art Show at Academy of Arts. San Francisco, Ca.
